On December 16, 2019 a meeting between His All-Holiness Bartholomew, Archbishop of Constantinople-New Rome and Ecumential Patriarchate with the delegation of the World Congress of Mountain Jews headed by Mr. Akif Gilalov was held at the Ecumential Patriarchate, Istanbul.
The sides discussed the current activities of the World Congress of Mountain Jews and agreed to fully interact for a fruitful cooperation.
His All-Holiness Bartholomew also expressed his support to the goals and tasks of the intergovernmental organization «United Religions» founded by the WCMJ’s initiative in 2018.
